In a statement announcing the season, HCT Artistic Director Pamela Livingstone said “We know “Les Mis” will get a lot of talk, but this is a very high profile season for us overall.”
“We are one of six community theaters in the nation tapped by the American Association of Community Theaters to produce one of the winning plays as part of the first AACT new play festival. That production goes on stage in January”.
“From February 28 to March 16 we are presenting “On Golden Pond” starring James Best and Norma Frank.”
“And you can’t forget ‘Spamalot’, ‘Willy Wonka’ or ‘Around the World in 80 Days’. The
season is an embarrassment of riches. To top it off, we’re also opening the newly renovated Jeffers Theatre!”
The announced season is as follows: on the Jeffers Theater Mainstage it’s “Spamalot, “Willy Wonka, Jr.”, The AACT New Play Fest Winner, “On Golden Pond”, and “Les Miserables”; in the Firemen’s Kitchen it’s “Around the World in 80 Days”, “ Trying”, and “The Lion in Winter”.
